Hey Y'all! Hope you all are having a great week! Let me briefly tell you what's been happening lately.

Loving:  The amethyst quartz I purchased at a recent bead show. They are gorgeous! So happy someone in California purchased the above sterling silver hoops.

Listening To: Beyonce and more Beyonce! My favorite tunes are Partition and Haunted. Daughter and I sing very loud in the car to Beyonce! I'm also listening to Frankie Beverly and Maze station on Pandora. I know one extreme to the next. When I'm feeling down it's Frankie that gets me happy. His music reminds me of the good ole days.

Reading: Gone Girl. I started this months ago and put it down. I recently picked it back up and can't put it down. The girl is psycho! I finished Defending Jacob. Will give my review in an upcoming post.

Thinking About: How sad, but excited, I will be when my daughter goes off to college next year. She's my road dawg! Everyday she has been receiving literature on different colleges/universities in the mail.

Looking Forward To: Spring! I love boots and sweater weather, but I'm ready to wear my sandals, open toe booties, and white Converse.

So what's been going on with you? Thanks to Sheila of It Girl Allure   for giving me inspiration for this post!

February Birchbox Review...

Happy Valentine's Day Y'all!

It's been awhile since I reviewed my Birchbox. This month's Birchbox is a collaboration with US Weekly. Since this is Awards season, the box is filled with a few items to get you red carpet ready. Check out what I received in my box.

1. Harney & Sons Fine Teas:  2 sachets of tea. White Vanilla Grapefruit and Paris. This is the Lifestyle Extra that Birchbox adds each month. I love tea so I'm sure I will love these!

2. 100% Pure: Fruit Pigmented Mascara. 100% all natural mascara with real fruit pigments. I have some body lotion from 100% Pure that is great. This mascara smells so good. I love mascara. One of the beauty items that I wear daily along with lip gloss. Can't wait to try this!

3. Sarahpotempa: The Half-Up hair tool. This tool looks great. Use it to create a low bun or up do.

4. Whish: Pomegranate Body Butter. Love the smell. Very rich. I'm a sucker for body butters!

5. Joan Vass: L'eau de Cristal perfume. Smells like a men's cologne. Blend of bergamot and patchouli. A little too strong for me.

Overall, I give this month's box a 4 out of 5 stars.

Spicy Shrimp Pasta Skillet...

Hey All!  How did I ever cook dinner before Pinterest?!

It's rare that I make a dish that my entire family likes. So it was a happy day in my house when I made this Spicy Shrimp Pasta Skillet. Usually I'm making two dishes for dinner. This child doesn't like beef. This child doesn't care for fish. This husband doesn't like asparagus, mushrooms, or brussel sprouts.  When I found this recipe on Pinterest and I saw that it was from my favorite foodie blogger, I just had to make it! This recipe is adapted from How Sweet It Is.  It's super easy.

I used white pasta instead of whole wheat pasta. I love whole wheat pasta, but other family members says it tastes like cardboard. Really? So you know what cardboard tastes like huh?  Short on time, I only marinated the shrimp for 30 minutes. It was so full of flavor! For the recipe, click on the above link to How Sweet It Is.

You can't serve pasta without garlic toast right?! Don't you just love red pepper flakes!

So... what's for dinner?

My Top Pin On Pinterest...

Hey All!

I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that my top pin on Pinterest  has received over 70 repins and 14 likes. It is: My Valentine's Day Date Night Outfit! See below. I would still wear this outfit, but with Pax here, substitutions are in order.  I would substitute the pumps for a pair of funky ankle booties. A chunky turtleneck sweater would replace the white tee. Drop the blazer for a parka or cape coat.

Are you going out for Valentine's Day? If so, what are you wearing?
