Valentine flowers my teenage daughter received from... a boy. Both grandfathers nearly died! I got texts, phone calls, warnings, "not my grandbaby", and "keep an eye on him." Dude, relax!

Slowly driving everyone in my household crazy. Dealing with some hormonal issues. Stopped by Trader Joe's to buy myself some fresh flowers to cheer me up.

Reading Gone Girl on the recommendation of a co-worker. Like my new paper straws? Got them on etsy. They do not get soggy. My new thing.... I love drinking out of a mason jar!

November Recap...

Started the month off with Hey Fran Hey's Jump Rope challenge! Forgot how fun jumping rope is! This month's challenge is Walking Lunges! Join in!

Trying hard to eat healthy and it's actually fun! This salad I made was freaking yum yo! Arugula (my fave), Roma tomato, almonds, blueberries, gorgonzola cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette.

Bracelet I made in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. A portion of sale will go towards 5k I'm running walking in this Saturday for Mammogram Scholarship fundraiser (Women's Hospital of Greensboro).
 Running Girl now has a happy home in the District of Columbia! Thanks Q!

Happy Monday! Got my kids off this morning for their first day of school. School buses arrived on schedule and for Guilford County that's awesome. I have one going into her Sophomore year in High school and another entering his last year of Middle school (sniff sniff). Below are a few Instagram pics from last week that I want to share. Picked up these mini composition books for me while school supply shopping for the kids. Great to keep in my purse. Inspiration can hit me anyway. Plus I forget a lot. Helps when I write stuff down.

My friend's photo challenge for today is: Something that makes you smile.  What made me smile today was my sexy shoes that arrived via Fed-Ex from Zara! Let's just call it an early Mother's Day gift from me to me.  I met the delivery guy at the door with my arms wide open and a huge grin on my face that said, "Come to Mama."
